Proper Shabaut Worship & Observance

The Shabaut day was initiated from the beginning of Creation. The Almighty in completing all things on the 7^th day had also initiated the Quadosh Shabaut day, this was made clear in Beresheit (Gen.) 2:1-3. He shaubat (ceased) from all He made on the 7^th day and sanctified that day-made it Quadosh (Holy).

The 7^th day has become more of a religious fundamental rather than a spiritual sanctioned day by the Almighty. This day was not for any particular race of people at the time; it was to be observed by all mankind. But, evil set in and mankind became corrupt, so a peculiar set of people was covenanted to carry on certain spiritual ordinances for a sign or a guide to all other Nations, these people called the chosen or son(s) of the Almighty were the Yisraelites (Shemote 4:22).

The Shabaut day which always falls on the 7^th day of the week, yom-shevi’ei, is divinely sacred and most important to the Almighty YEHOWAH, to His Glory. This day has lost its divine value through religious indoctrinations and false teachings; through Christianity Judaism and Islam. These words, ‘Remember The Shabaut Day To Keep It Holy’ has been the most misleading translation of the entire Scriptures, seeing this particular day is in itself a Covenant with YEHOWAH.

In the sentence it gives-from the premise and conclusive statements-more importance to the day and not the Almighty. But in proper studies of the entire T’Nakh, we find out that it is not the day which is of importance, but rather the Almighty YEHOWAH, on the day (Yeshaiyahu 5:13-14). When we shift importance from the day to YAH Himself this changes the whole narratives and importance of the Shabaut. The word Shabaut itself is rooted in the meaning of Atoning. The mistranslations of this word as Sabbath or Shabath, takes away from the root sound and meaning, which can easily be confused as Shaubat meaning to cease or rest (no sleep), and Shabaut which means to Atone. The root sound of seven (7) is found in the word which signifies the 7^th day.

Now we come to the practices and proper way to observe this sanctified day. It is stipulated and commanded by YAH Almighty that ALL souls must make an appearance on the Shabaut day (Yeshaiyahu 66:23). It was also stipulated that the Almighty would never do away with the Shabaut Quadosh (Yeshaiyahu 1:13). So, this day is to be kept no matter where someone is as long as they have the freedom to keep the day Quadosh.

We can see that during the time of the return from the Media-Persian captivity, Ezra and Nekhemyah kept a Mikra-Quodesh (Holy Assembly) in an open area outdoor. They setup a stage before the nation of Yisrael and taught the words of YAH to them, and gave the people understanding of the words, the laws. Even though this was a Quahal (Assembly) for Kog-Sukote it makes it clear how worship is to be done. Another concern is when does the Shabaut and other Quadosh (Holy) days begin!? It begins at sundown which starts a new day. This can be verified in Beresheit 1. So, at sundown on the 6^th day (yom-sheshei)-corresponding with the Gregorian Friday-the Quadosh Shabaut begins. This is a very important time and should be welcomed in with worship-Mikra-Quodesh; after showering and making preparations. Few places of worship do not view this time as important and choose to come out for worship at mid-day on yom-shevi’ei (Sat.). This could be acceptable except for the acknowledgment of the Morning Sacrifice and the Evening Sacrifices. Even though we do not have the Koheneim established and sacrifices cannot be done, because we are in foreign lands, we can however, acknowledge the observances of the sacrifices.

Separation for uncleanness and Sicknesses:

Whenever a person is unprepared for the Shabaut or having some sickness, they cannot partake in worship with the Quahal, they must excuse themselves. What can cause these separations, coming home late from work and not having time to shower, or maybe becoming unclean from touching an unclean person or killing an insect on their skin. Along with these is the monthly cycle for women, and venereal diseases of a person.

During their separation, Yisraelites could gather together if they lived closely, under a person with good Scriptural understanding or connect to a worship broadcast online. The Shabaut is not to be kept alone, isolated, if there are other means. Shabaut and other Mikra-Quodesh are a cumulative worship of families, communities, Nation when possible.

Because the Shabaut day is to the Glory and Holiness of YAH and the most important and most occurring Holy day (Shemote 20:8-11), it is to be revered greatly by all. The Shabaut day is a Sign (Shemote 31:13,17) and Covenant between YAH and the Yisraelites and so, it a divine connection with the people of light, the light bearers (Yeshaiyahu 42:1-6).
